How to Obtain NC AIG Certification

Candidates have a few different options on how to obtain their AIG Licensure upon successful completion of the Graduate Certificate in AIG.

Option 1: Your district can file for the licensure update on your behalf once you’ve completed the program. If you have your district submit an application on your behalf, the district should route the application to UNC Charlotte for verification within the NCDPI portal as described in the application instructions. If this doesn't happen, TEAL will have to make the recommendation via paper form once NCDPI requests one, which delays processing.

Option 2: You can file for the licensure update by going to the NCDPI licensure application portal: https://vo.licensure.ncpublicschools.gov/

You can file as soon as your certificate has posted to your transcript, which typically occurs within one month after commencement.

You will receive a diploma indicating your successful completion of the AIG Graduate Certificate program. You should expect one to arrive via mail within 6-8 weeks of commencement.
